There are 83 members in this group. Who are you all? Would anyone be interested in meeting in SL and discussing what we do? I know that time zones may be an issue. We could do an AM and a PM meeting. I belong to a group in SL that might host such a get together. What do you think? Let me know.

I'm Tracy (aka Ysabell Biziou) and I teach in Texas. I am a member at ISTE in SL.
Hi,
I'm a high school teacher just learning about Second Life. I joined this group before even creating my SL avatar (born today). I have lots of questions and am exploring answers and possible uses of SL for professional learning and teaching.

In the first world I am Beth Knittle a K12 technology integration specialist. In the Second Life world I am Beth Kohnke. I am a member of the DEN in SL leadership council and also a member of Lighthouse Learning. The DEN host weekly workshops on Wednesdays and also has guides on hand to answer questions and support educators new to Second Life. If you are new I would recommend joining ISTE and the DEN to help you get started in your exploration of Second Life. I have found the educator community to be vibrant, and collaborative. I have learned a lot, it has been a great experience for me.
Hello - I am an Education Development Adviser and I love using Second Life - I want to show how it can be used for education enhancement, so I am trying to get the academic community engaged in this! I am Kashmir Bimbogami in world. I will be there every Monday between 3 pm - 4.30 pm GMT.

I have read some of these posts and look forward to going to ISTE - unfortunately SL is down at the moment so I have to do some RL work instead.

Hope to meet with you soon :)
I'm an Intern at the WebcastAcademy.net, which operates under the Creative Commons License.
Please take a look at the curriculum: http://www.webcastacademy.net/book/curriculum
The WebcastAcademy.net is a hands on, online collaborative training center for people interested in learning how to produce and host live, interactive webcasts with worldwide participants. English and Spanish language modules are being produced. Further languages are forecasted.

I like the innovative issues addressed, but as things are moving so fast "muddling through" has been the favored approach up to now. Convergence of the course into Moodle and into 3D virtual worlds is under way.
I'm new to SL and this group. I'm a thesis adviser in a graduate program in Internet Marketing. We're teaching marketing through new medias, including SL, in our program.

Oh yeah, I'm addicted to SL.
