Username

I have another teacher in my building who started working on his site and didn't realize that his user name would eventually be part of his url. I learned that by chance when I signed up, and so I think we should make that abundantly clear so people don't do it in the future.

My question is this. How can he change his username so it fits in better for his url. Such as mine is mrsitter, his was something he uses for sites but would rather use mrwalter.

Hi Dan,
I've got good news and bad news. The bad news is that there isn't any way for teachers to do this currently via Haiku LMS. The good news is that we have acknowledged the error of our ways (ah, 20/20 hindsight!) and are going to implement this rather than make another manual change to a users account. :)

We are planning a launch on this Friday night or next, and will assign time to build the feature before that launch. If Mr. Walter can wait a week and a half, he should be able to make the change via his account settings after the launch.

If there is a more immediate need, let me know.

I just wanted to let you know that the ability to modify names will be available to you as of this weekend. Thanks for passing on this request.

He'll be able to to make the change by visiting his 'My Account' page.

Awesome. My fellow colleagues are so happy with Haiku, and I just keep getting converts each few weeks. Keep it up and thanks for the timely responses.
