Are you using iPods or iPads with your high school students?  Do you have suggestions for any free or low-priced apps for 9-12 instruction?  If so, please share those which you deem worthy.  Thanks!

I was just issued an iPad last week.  After the technology department decided to stick with the windows environment, the special educaiton department used special ed. funds to purchased quite a number of ipads.  Now they need training.  As a result, the ITRTs have now been given ipads.  So, I'm just beginning, but, one of the other ITRTs recommended a program which worked so much easier than I expected it to.  Its called TeamViewer.  I installed it from the apps store on my iPad (its free) and then went to the TeamViewer site on my laptop pc.  Once the program was installed on both devices the iPad can be used to control and monitor the laptop.  So, it can function as a SchoolPad or SMART Slate only with a viewable screen.  That is, you can walk around the classroom and use your iPad to interact with a PowerPoint, Website, Prezi presentation, or whatever is showing on your laptop (and being projected to a screen.)  The connection is made through the Internet so both machines need to be connected to it.
