About Me
I teach Computer Graphics and Webdesign at a High School in Falmouth, Massachusetts ( south of Boston on the "isle" of Cape Cod). My interests are to find new ways to use the technology available to enhance our students' (and we teachers) education as well as becoming more globally connected. Please check our my website for Cape POD Cast and look forward to seeing my iPhone in action in the classroom! Welcoming new friends to share new ideas and what works - or hasn't worked- for you! : )

    Peg,
I really see the power of Second Life for professional development, and engaging students in authentic learning activities. I would love to match up students with corporations trying to establish themselves in SL and have the students create the environment. At this moment that is not possible, but looking ahead I think we could engage stduents in real learning!
Future thought! In world I am Meg Writer!

    Hi Peg,

I think it is great that you are teaching computer graphics and webdesign at the high school level. Many schools are not doing this and it is becoming an increasingly important skill. I would love to hear your feedback on Scriptovia.com. Maybe we can something up where your students do a project for Scriptovia. It may be cool to have a contest where your students redesign the site. We could send the best design an ipod (or something similiar) and if it a good enough even use it on the live site. My email is aseem@scriptovia.com if you want to discuss further over email.

    Hello Peg,
I am a Primary school teacher who enjoys "messing about" with Web 2.0 applications in my classroom. I am not an expertin IT but I do have many years of experiences in the classroom!

Hi Peg... you say that you want "to find new ways to use the technology available to enhance our students' (and we teachers) education as well as becoming more globally connected." That's great and should be every teacher's goal in one way or another. You should definitely check out YouFig.com - it's a useful site for collaborating in academia, between students and between the teacher and the class. I have a few invites left. Let me know if you would like one.

G'day Peg. Nice to meet you. I'm curious to see how you use the iPhone in your classroom. I'm holding out to get one myself. No word yet on when they'll be coming down under. Have fun with your new "toy"!

    Hi again Peg.
I left you a comment on one of your discussion forums and I notice here that you work in Falmouth. Do you work with Matt M at all? I am looking to come by for a visit this Fall and perhaps we can catch up if only for a moment! I'd love to see uses in the classroom with the iPhone as well if you are using it.
I'll check out your website for Cape POD Cast in a bit! Regards!

Hi Bianca, Just noticed your comment. Well, have just found a student with an iPhone who is willing to do some experimenting. Still in the planning stage but will keep you informed. Progress is slow as my other technology has been limited.. new computer classroom, new server, NO LCD and NO Screen. Cramping my teaching styles. will be in touch!! Peg ; )

Wow! Thanks for making friends, Peg. I love your page background here. How did you do that? I have graphic background myself but I can't figure out how to change things here on the Ning template...
