I teach chemistry at Hopkinsville Community College. I am interested in elearning and have taught online courses through the KY Virtual University since 1999.
Hi Michael
Yes U o G has a large number of courses which suprised me too when I first went there. On the other hand I recently read Penn State has something like 1700 online courses. Mindboggling. We have a group of about 50 people supporting the effort of both online as well as F2F extention courses . I also teach as a sessional at another U where there are about 50 courses, mostly in the area of Education. It's a growing and interesting field. My current interest are in quality standards for OTL...there is a wide variety of content, and not all good out there....
Hi Mike,
nice to meet you :)

Bonjour Mike
There is so much online for language-learning. If you want self access stuff rather than links for French teachers, just click on French and +student in my del.icio.us from My Languages
This tag is aimed at self-access materials for my students. If you are more auditority do check the podcasts too as they are available for all levels of proficiency.
Hi Mike,
I have a year 9 science class (14-15 year olds) who are doing a chemistry of life unit at present. What sort of project did you have in mind?
Regrads, Britt
Thanks Michael!
I'm just back from extended maternity leave, so feeling my way with new courses etc... Really happy to be back in the Chem room again though! Must say I enjoy the buzz.
This network seems a fantastic resource... Looking forward to having the time to explore it properly!
I do some work online with a math class I teach because everyone in the class has a laptop and I sometimes give tutorials online with elive. Most of my work is in the classroom,
Hi Mike. I don't know of any Ph.D. online ETEC programs. There are a few Ed.D. and Ed.S. programs that I've found, including Towson, Pepperdine, and Missouri University. Thanks for the note.
Also, ScreenFLow works better that Jing and seems very easy to use. I would like to have some of my best labs and demos for other teachers to see and use so I think keeping them short helps. You can download a demo ( for Mac) and the program costs $99. Take care, Kevin

I have introduced Google Documents, Google Calendar, and Google Reader. The kids are really into it and really have put these apps to good use.
