Thanks Mark. We are using moodle with a one to one project in our high school and I was at first against it but now am the biggest supporter of it in our division. I appreciate the find.
Cheers,
Thanks Mark! I checked out your source, and am now exploring your sources in great detail. A quick way I've found to add animated tutorials in Flash is to create you images in PowerPoint, save the images as PNGs, add any hotspots in Fireworks, import PNGs into Flash Library and tween images in the timeline. You can either used a prepackaged control button or code your own in Action Script.
Thanks Mark. At the moment I am looking for teachers who would like to do some collaborating learning and less the technology. I know there are tones of optiond out there.
Thanks, Mark. I have never used WiZiQ. Our district has just set Moodle up and each school has their own Moodle site. I love Moodle and have spent the past two days working on a summer training for teachers. I had 21 signed up so I am encouraged. I will check out WiZiQ.
Thanks Mark,
I'll have another look at WizIQ - I've dabbled with authorstream, which certainly has potential - although it doesn't map PowerPoint as nicely as I'd like.
Thanks, Mark. I do use a virtual office and scribd and slide share. I know I need to go up a notch, and actually, learning how to create a class in moodle is high on my list. Thanks for the encouragement; it's a balance issue, as you know, I'm sure.
Thanks for the links. We are really happy with Moodle as our school VLE and are looking forward to 2.0 and all the features on the roadmap there. Of course I'm equally excited about Google Wave and hope there will be some great developments for schools in the spirit of Open Source.
I'll check out your links but can say right now I enjoy using autherpoint lite and we can host this on our own servers well integrated in our VLE. But Authorstream is looking better and better too so thanks again!
Thanks! I'll do that - I'm looking for a way to provide professional development in disciplinary literacy online, or at least partially online - perhaps you have some ideas? V.
Hi Mark
My name’s David and I’m a history teacher in Queensland, Australia. I use a lot of podcasting and online tools with my classes and am always looking for new ideas.
I host a group on diigo (it’s similar to delicious and very popular with teachers) for history teachers to share links, ideas and resources. It’s at http://groups.diigo.com/groups/history-teachers.
Please come along and join and share any sources or resources you use with the rest of us. See you there.

Thanks Mark for the suggestion.
I already use in a regular basis WizIQ with my students.
It is a nice platform for communication and collaborative work indeed.
Sincerely yours,

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the link, i have started to look at the presentation, but don't have time at the moment. Will finish looking at it over the next couple of days. I will let you know what i think or how i might be able to use it.
Thanks again
Leanne
Mark,
Thanks for the link - I will totally look it over as we are looking to do some things with Wimba in the near future - but always nice to have more than 1 choice :-)

Thank you I also have been a member of Tappedin.org, but have not used it because of the resistance with the adolescent students with working on line. If they see no value to themselves they will not use the program.
I will invesitgate your recommendation and use it with my grad students. Thank you for the support as I try to help teachers use technology in the classroom and especially with science topics
Thanks, Mark, for your advice. While I currently use moodle, authorstream looked like a tool I really need to get to know better. We are constantly creating powerpoints and really need a better way to view/respond/collaborate on them.
Thank you for your advise. Mark, how does WiZiQ compare to Elluminate in features? I'd like a side-by-side comparison. Also, I use Google Doc Presentations for slide share and I am quite happy with it. The feature I like most is the widget. Collaborators can keep modifying the slide show, while it stays embedded in all blogs and pages without any need to re-load.
Mark: Thanks a lot for your recommendation. I just finished watching the presentation and it was very informative. I'm glad to have joined CR 2.0. So far it has been very helpful.
Mark, thank you for responding. These aren't the features I'd like to compare. What I need is the comparison of tools like whiteboard, embeddable media, and other tools within the event.
Thank you for the recommendations. I looked at them and they are very interesting. I look forward to spending more time with these sites/applications to see how other educators are utilizing them!
Dear Mark
I spent some time on WIZIQ and it's overwhelming. I feel lost. It's too much. All I want is a simple, secure connection between two students via audio or video. I used vRoom by Elluminate and I thought it was great but the bandwidth is not ready yet. I encountered a lot of problems of connectivity. I'm looking for a tool that is free, simple and that doesn't use too much of bandwidth. The best tool with the most features is worthless if there is no connection. All I'd like to to is setting up eTandem partners communication simultaneously at the same time and in the same room.
