Welcome Colette. I´m from Bavaria in Germany. And I focus on digital teaching methods. Thus, I created the biggest group on Classroom 2.0: DigiSkills.
Would love if you decide to join as a member as well.
    Greetings
    Hans
Check out one of my blogs

Thanks, Collette. Nice to meet you. Please share this with your friends in the real world also. I found out about Leni's project from meeting her in TappedIn at http://www.tappedin.org If you don't already go there, I would like to invite you.
I think this is one of those powerful online projects, and it is so easy. Great idea about pics of your town. If you are looking for e-postcards you can go to http://www.janbrett.com
She is a picture book illustrator, but many of her e-postcards can be used by adults. I think middle school students would find something they like.

Hi Collette, great to see you involved too! I see you graduated from your Masters program, congrats! I have a really neat opportunity that I think you may be interested in. It is called Media Smart Day and it is a pilot program designed to address media literacy. I can go over the details if you are interested. I think you and your school would be a great candidate for this pilot program. Great to hear from you and take care!

I spend my working life trying to encourage 'horses' to drink but they seldom do for various reasons and I become frustrated because deep down I believe this stuff works, but as I no longer have a class I cant show that.

It is really lovely to hear you say what you do with your kids. I would like to quote you in my presentations if that is alright with you?
  • Alan Dawson

Sorry Collette that first word on the last comment should say Thanks.

I should also say just in case you dont know who I am that you commented on my cynical blog.

I have just woken up in the UK and you are just going to sleep so this is really weird with the time shift and all.

Hi Colette. Looks like this is going to be an interesting group. I wonder who else in the Valley will be drawn in. Have you seen the XO users page on the OLPC Wiki? Evidently groups like this are forming all over the country.
    Cheers,

    Hi Colette:
I was a great fan of the postcard geography project when I was teaching six years ago, wonder how it's morphed in the emerging digital age.
About LITC, it is a challenging endeavor, promoting community-led community change. We have an open house coming up in December if you'd like to come, let me know.
  • Heather

I love your blog. I am interested in learning anything about education technology in the private K-12 world. Any help you can give me would be great.
  • Cheryl Wolotira

    Hi, Colette,

Okay, it's taken me months and months to get back to this, but sure, I'd love to talk to you about what you're doing and what your school is doing. Is your school a member of PNAIS?
  • Laurel Evans

Hi Colette, I enjoyed learning about class blogging from your blog site. I was curious to try some of the many blog tools you introduced your students to but I see your site has changed. Would it be possible to get a list of these sites. Thanks so much. I would really like to try them out before I try it out with my grade 7 class. Laurel Evans.

    Hi Collette,

Steve knows who I am. As far as I know I have not violated Classroom 2.0 policies. We are very interested, and have always been interested in working with Classroom 2.0.

I'm interested in learning more about "certified Google teacher"
were can I find out more
  • Jack

Hi Colette. I was wondering if your students would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. If not, perhaps you have some educator contacts you could direct me to. You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!

    Hi Colette,
In December I had never seen a Wiki. My students and I jumped in with both feet and haven't looked back. The students are very excited to have a real audience. Please take a look at what they've created so far. RPG Maker XP Help. We would appreciate any feedback you have. Currently the wiki is protected, so you'll have to either email me your feedback or give it through Classroom 2.0.
    Thanks!
    Pat

    Hi Colette,
Thought you might be interested in some of these free online resources. You're probably familiar with most of them, but maybe you'll find something new. Unfortunately, I haven't organized them yet.

Hi, Thanks for the link - Google Cetified Teacher, but the application process is closed ;( . do you know if it might be open again, is this a yearly event that I can apply for next year? any idea on cost?
  • Donelle

Hey Colette. I read the post about the Google Institute. Sounds great. I can't make it over there, but there are few Google Workshops for Educators being held in CA this summer. It would be a drive for me. Have you been to one and do you recommend it?
  • Michelle Blakely

    Hi Colette,
I read your post on http://www.google.com/google-d-s/tour5.html#. I wanted to see if I could cite your response in my research paper for grad school on the implications of incorporating Google Apps in an English classroom. My professor asked if I could find out the date of your response (I didn't see it listed on your page). I've also tried shared presentations with students and found it very valuable. Thank you for your idea!
