    Hey Mark,

Our Brainyflix video contest just ended, and I wanted to thank you for helping us get the word out. We got 800 submissions from across the country!

That said, MIT was really happy with the results and will let us run another contest, so we're going for it! But this time, we're gonna have kids create Brainypics flashcards - which are images and sentences paired up with a one of our SAT/ACT words. The contest ends May 22nd, and there'll be iTunes and a cash prize like last time. To boot, we'll double the payout if the kids can hit a certain goal. More details at brainyflix.com/main/contest_rules.

Do you mind passing my message along to students and your colleagues again?

    Thanks,
    Jack

Thank you, Mark! Looking forward to discovering new and better ideas on Voicethread! :)

Hi Mark, thank YOU for bringing us together. A social network is a feature I'd love to see incorporated into the VoiceThread site itself to enable us to connect and share right there with our content. This is a great alternative resource until that feature is established.

    best,
    Michelle

    Hi Mark,

    Thanks for creating this connection.
I was asked to guest speak at a local university next week about Integrating Technology in the classroom. (I have a passion for it, but I am a beginner). Specifically, the professor want me to give the student teachers some ideas about:

    1) WHY the integration of technology is important in schools
    2) What kinds of technology could be used in a kindergarten/grade 1 environment.

I am discussing voicethreads as the easiest starting point for a primary classroom. We will be going over how to create one, how to join, and looking at some work that I did with my daughter's kindergarten class.

Do you have ideas about any links, key points that I should include?

Please forward this note to any appropriate discussion....

    Verena :)

We could have added this as well!

Thanks, Carl. Thanks for all your hard work on the VoiceThread ning and on setting up this group in the Classroom 2.0 ning. I love VoiceThread. I have used it both as a school librarian and language arts teacher, and I've given a couple of conference presentations on it. I'll be doing another one on updated VoiceThread features in November, so know I will be finding good ideas here.

Oops. I KNOW your name is Mark, not Carl. Please excuse the error, Mark!

Thanks, Mark. I appreciate the welcome :)

Thanks, I appreciate any help I can get. I was debating back and forth whether to get a classroom account for my class on VoiceThread. I could see my students creating more than the three allowed under a free account. I'm very excited about our 1:1 setting. I think this will be a mind blowing year for everyone involved.
