About Me
I taught 8th grade U.S. History/gov't with a passion. I got the most out of my students in a low income, multicutural community. I became principal and was principal for over 10 yrs but I missed the classroom. I went back to the classroom and taught 8th grade U.S. History and was District and County mentor teacher. My book, "Think You Can Teach? A Survival Guide For Middle School Students" is great for all grades and is available at amazon.com barnesandnoble.com
all bookstores on their computer. Author, Avrech. I am just learning first day on twitter.

Hi Jennifer and Steve. I presume you are teachers. I am retired in San Jose, CA after 37 yrs. in middle school/jr. high. I wrote the book with a passion to help new young teachers succeed. I have seen too many fail. A successful teacher is important for the students. Anyway, you know how education sales go, pretty slow, but I hope the word gets out and new and future teachers buy the book. Thanks. Leon Avrech author,:THINK YOU CAN TEACH? A SURVIVAL GUIDE FOR NEW MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHERS.
