Technophile physics, biology and oceanography teacher. Love technology that improves how I teach. Hate technology for technologies sake. Using classroom clickers, moodle and University of Texas' Quest homework site.

Hope you're enjoying the winter break. I was wondering if you, your educator contacts or students would be interested in participating in a nationwide Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. We'd really like to get more students involved from NH
You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
Bryan,
Thanks for the comments. What we are trying to explore in a very aggressive way is not to use technology to unleash learning, not how to use it to improve teaching. It's a very different notion to get our head around because for so long learning was absolutely dependent on teaching, so improving teaching made perfect sense.
What we are attempting to do with this project is identify the essential concepts in physics, then figure out how to help kids learn those through a portal (in this first case, space science) that correlates to their area of passion. Be happy to share more about it, and believe me, there's lots of room for improvement and involvement!
Hey Bryan, Pleasure to meet you. Would love to let you know what we are doing with technology and Physics in a very 2.0 sort of way. I am assuming you have some notions of it given that you found me here.
Have a great holiday week!
