I live at Guarapuava, a small town in southern Brazil (not far from the well known Iguassu Falls), where I teach at the State University.

My research areas are Education in Computing and Computing in Education, which I approach from the perspective of the Biology of Knowing - a theoretical framework developed by Humberto Maturana, a chilean neurobiologist, who realizes the cognition process as the personal transformation process which enables a living being to survive in its relations within the environment.

My challenge is to describe the educational tools development process as part of the process which constitute us (teachers and learners) recurrently as particular human beings. So, I don't believe in general and definitive tools, I believe and try to develop methodoloy to develop particular, temporary, precarious and uncomplete tools - tools which would reflect the transitory beings we are. We recreate ourselves all the time from the environment provocations.
