I am a doctoral candidate in science education at the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a former high school science teacher. I am interested in teacher knowledge, teacher education, and student and teacher assessment in science.

With your interest in Education Technology at the University of Colorado, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.
Hi Bud, as you can see from the many introductions on Classroom, there are countless new uses of technology being shared every day. This should be a rich resource for your research. What I'm not sure I'm seeing is an effort to create a library, or catalog, of these different ideas. No one will scroll through 170 pages of introductions to find all of the gems in here. I lead the Tutor/Mentor Connection, based in Chicago. I've been collecting and organizing information related to poverty, poor schools, workforce development, and strategies to help kids to careers and share this information on the T/MC site. Our aim is to be a resource for adults, youth and anyone else who wants to find ideas to use in solving social problems related to youth and poverty.
Thus, if you or others are building a catalog of ideas shared in forums like this, that would be a valuable resource to add to my own library. Good luck to you. Happy New Year.
Hi Bud! Hope you're enjoying the winter break. I was wondering if you, your colleagues, or students would be interested in an Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. Please let me know! We'd really like to get Colorado students involved
