With your interest in Emerging Technology, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. I last 'spoke' to you in December and had never seen a Wiki. My students and I jumped in with both feet and haven't looked back. The students are very excited to have a real audience. Please take a look at what they've created so far. RPG Maker XP Help. We would appreciate any feedback you have. Currently the wiki is protected, so you'll have to either email me your feedback or give it through Classroom 2.0.

Thank you for all of your input on Blogs Discussions & Wikis. I've only just found Classroom 2.0, and despite having been a tech teacher for the last 10 years am only just beginning to venture into the features that it offers. I really liked what you had to say about sitting down and watching the students. Thanks for taking the time. I'll definitely be checking out your recommended sites.

For about 12 years I was a tech bandwagon fanatic. I presented in my district, state, and at 5 times at NECC. I am a great presenter, if I do say so myself--but about 4 years ago I threw in the towel.

I decided I'd learned enough to keep my own students active, engaged and learning with technology to last me a lifetime (or until I retire--soon). I saw no changes in my district so I gave up!! I'm an advocate of giving the equipment and training to those who will use it and the rest be damned!! haha! Good luck with your projects,

As to my stimulus - I taught forever at the same school, became stifled by admin at every turn, so I transferred to the school in our county with the lowest scores on state tests & NCLB measures. These children are so needy in every way, and I have a principal who believes in me & my wild ideas. These students need to be taught how to learn, and I believe improving my use of instructional technology is the answer. And I won't have to do it by myself,,,by creating my personal learning network I have a huge team!
