About Me: Hi! I am super excited for this! A little about myself, I am a Senior at FHSU here, and plan to student teach in the Fall of '09. I'm ready, but know that there is loads for me to learn yet - so I'm excited. I have a great supportive family who encourages me to persevere even when it's tough. I work at a coffee shop in Hays - so yes, I do love coffee! If I had no responsibilities for one day I would relax and read in the morning, go for a donut and coffee with my boyfriend, run, shop in the afternoon, maybe drive somewhere (love to travel), and relax in the evening with a nice meal and movie. That sounds like the perfect day!

I love children. I enjoy watching them learn - especially knowing that I have had a part in that! I also find it important to be a role model in their lives, make a difference and bring significance to their lives! I have seen so many children who just need a positive influence and know that they are loved - that is why I want to be a teacher!

I have had great teachers to learn from since elementary, and for as long as I can remember - that is all I've ever wanted to be. I have spent numerous hours teaching my "students" (my bed) everything I had just learned that day. I hope to be a teacher that has made a significance in a child's life!

Happy New Year! I was wondering if you have any middle or high school contacts who would be interested in participating in a nationwide Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. We'd really like to get more students involved from Kansas!
