I am the Director of Professional Development for Curriculum Designers, Inc. and an independent educational consultant.
I have worked with public, independent, and post secondary institutions internationally on implementing curriculum and assessment reform, developing high quality leadership teams, and developing training and implementation plans. My practical approach to design and alignment is based on my experiences as a classroom teacher, administrator, adjunct professor, and leader in schools, who have implemented long term curriculum alignment and mapping initiatives.
I have also worked extensively work with schools and leadership teams on implementing curriculum and assessment reform; training teachers and administrators in the curriculum and assessment design process; and coaching leadership teams in developing implementation plans.
I co-authored a chapter in Heidi Hayes Jacob's book, Getting Results with Curriculum Mapping, in ASCD's DVD, Getting Results with Curriculum Mapping, in Assessment in a Learning Organization: Shifting the Paradigm by Art Costa and Bena Kallick; soon to be released new book with Heidi Hayes Jacobs, The Curriculum Mapping Planner: Templates, Tools, and Resources for Effective Professional Development; and in Heidi's curriculum Mapping series by Video Journal of Education. Ann,
Good to hear.
The school year is off to a fabulous start. Let me know if the spring conference in WI materializes; I would like to share it with schools as soon as possible. There are so many things schools are working on that could be addressed through mapping and upgrading!
Take Care.
