Hi Bill, I'm also in Chicago and studied History at Illinois Wesleyan. I'm using these experiences, and the Internet, to help inner city kids connect with volunteers in comprehensive, non-school tutor/mentor programs. Is Jeff Keally still at your school? He and I connected almost 10 years ago.

I host a conference in May and November and encourage you and other education technolgoy advocates to attend to learn ways you and your kids can take a role in helping kids in poverty have futures out of poverty.
