Korea is a highly wired country so we feel most of our third graders will have a very good working knowledge of computers. Each classroom is fully wired with projectors suspended from the ceiling, a powered screen, 52 inch TV and all the ports for whatever we will ultimately have in the rooms. The school also has a cctv studio with 8 channels. We are hoping for smart boards too.
Cisco Systems has establish a telepresence in the school also.
I hope this helps.
We're not actually supplying software into classrooms, so i'm not really qualified to answer your question

I have used computers within my classrooms for math games and reading activities as well as research - next year I will be utilizing lots of different technology - video cameras, voice recorders, cameras, iPods. As well as the hundreds of web2.0 tools available.
I hope that was of assistance!
