Is Podcasting Dead?

It seems that at least for my group of sixth graders, it certainly is. Several are very avid Youtube users and even those students not direclty uploading to Youtube certainly show a keen interest in what the others are doing. Recently, a student (one of the avid Youtubers) suggested that we watch a fun science clip by Charlie McDonnel on Youtube. We did, and the students as well as I thoroughly enjoyed it.
