We don't need to ready the students they just use it. It's teachers who need the readying. Students could even suggest how to use ICT in the class to learn.

Hi Graeme,

Thanks for your kind words. The children don't need any retraining as this is the way they are used to. Giving them laptops or desktops is more a change for a lot of children. At home they use a multitude of online gadgets. You would be surprised.

The iPods are far cheaper, work instantly (15mins to do a 45 min job on desktop/laptop)
teachers are the ones who need the retraining. The best way is to give each teacher an iPod to take home to play with and communicate with if they don't have an iPhone. Get great apps that have ed value and they will want them.

Study wiz is also available which gives you a great student management system.

Here they are putting in netbooks 1:1 which in my mind are just mini notebooks and old technology. Mobile tech is the way to go.

Good luck with the macbooks they'll be excellent for creative work.
