I am a former Director of Technology at a small, private special ed school for bright students who learn differently. The school administration and many of the teachers did not see technology integration and adaptive technology implementation as a priority. I installed and ran a Moodle site for the school 5 years ago that no one ever used much--much to my chagrin. In my classes, the parents were THRILLED with the supplementary material, easy access and reassurance stemming from knowing EXACTLY what their children were doing (seventh grade American History). My students had dyslexia, ADD/HD, some Aspergers or auditory processing issues.
