- I've been teaching ESL for 10 years and have taught students from over 90 countries, from professionals, college students, housewives to refugees. I became a teacher because I'm also a photographer and wanted a way to take photos and travel while still earning a living and learning the cultures. Along the way, I came to love teaching and look forward to living abroad again after 2 years in Osaka, Japan (05-07).
