I was born in Livingston Manor, New York. I am the third child and the only son out of four kids. At the age of sixteen i enrolled to the Upper Iowa University. I am a prize winner of debating and speaking. I then transferred to Cornell University in 1885. I spent two years of my life establishing national student movement organizations. In 1912-1913 I toured the middle east holding twenty-one regional missionary conferences in India, China, Japan and Korea. From 1915 to 1928 i was the general seceratary of the international committee of the Y.M.C.A. I was soon later awarded the distinguished service medal for my work as the Seceratary of National War Council. In addition to this i have written sixteen books in my favorite topics. On average I spend on average thirty-four days a year on the sea traveling to other countries. In 1981 I married Leila Ada White. We had four children. Two boys and two girls.
