I'm a high school teacher of English pursuing a Masters degree in instructional technology. I've taught grades 9 to 12, including AP Language and Composition. I have extensive professional development experiences, including training in Academic Literacy from WestEd in San Francisco as well as follow-up training in Princeton, New Jersey. I've attended week-long training workshops in formative assessment with Anne Davies on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. I'm a member of "The Brainy Bunch," teachers who have received training in how neuroscience impacts teaching and learning in classrooms with author Pat Wolfe in Napa, California. Currently, I'm also participating in a training with Salle Quakenboss of the Marzano Research Laboratory. Formerly, I worked as a professional development specialist, mentor and literacy coach in my technical high school district.

Hey John, this website looks amazing! I hope we can get everyone involved and working with people from around the country on the new "technological" classroom. I am glad you showed me the site, and I am going to spend some time exploring today. Hopefully, I will find something awesome!
