- I'm a 2nd grade teacher in the Raytown school district. I earned my bachelor's degree from UMKC in spring of 2012 and I'm currently working on my masters degree through Baker University. I'm married and we have one son, Brady, who is 5. I love spending time with my family. We enjoy going to the lake, doing outdoor activities and going to the movies.

I really enjoyed watching the video A Vision of Students Today. It opened my eyes for what it’s truly like for my students even though they may only be in 2nd grade. Their worlds revolve around technology and they crave to have a piece of that in the classroom.
