It has been a while since I last visited Classroom 2.0. With all of the new technologies available, I thought it might be a good thing to consider changing the name of this website to "Classroom 3.0".
In a nutshell, I'll update you on my life.
I decided to retire "early" from my position as a school psychologist last year. I moved my retirement date from October 1st to January 1st to step in for another psychologist on leave. After I retired, I visited friends and family, spent time with my grandson, traveled to St. Maarten, relaxed on a beach near Sarasota, Florida, and took a trip to Portugal and Sao Miguel, an island in the Portuguese Azores.
My friends and family didn't think I'd last very long as a full-time retiree, and they were right! I plan to work part-time in the field of innovative technologies, focusing on those that support ease of use, learning, and collaboration. Over the years, I've witnessed the evolution of technology in all aspects of life - through my own eyes, the eyes of my parents, through the eyes of my children, nieces and nephews, and now, through the eyes of my grandson, born less than five years ago.
This is an exciting time for educators, despite the challenges of diminished education budgets, standardized testing, and adoption of the Common Core.
I look forward to the journey.
Lynn

Great for social and emotional learning/character education and lessons focusing on identity, self-esteem, healthy risk-taking and goal setting.

It's nice to see another psychologist interested in technology. I enjoyed reading your blogs. Check out www.cpschallenge.com if you have time. I am looking for someone with a good background in technology and school psychology to do a review. Take care.
That's one of the reasons I like it. :) If you have a question or need help please let me know. It's a powerful virtual classroom, I recommend you set up a session and just play around with it.
In your research of web technologies I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's web based power point presentation platform. Both web based platforms have proven to be very useful to me in my online class.
