Yes, that is the same school. First, with a great deal of fanfare, the college chanaged to a university, bringing in a lot of graduate programs. Then the university dropped the David from the name.... although still see it listed by the old name occasionally. The K-12 schools still kept the David.
I will teach the course using Blackboard, to give instructions and offer links to sites. However, the students will be instructed to create their own accounts on all the sites that I have chosen, as I thought they'd be valuable in the K-12 environment.
Hi Bill, I actually teach at Hawkesdale and have been there for many, many years, as I married a farmer. Normally, our school will run small classes, but next year I have to combine units 1-4 accounting but my info classes will run with about 12 in year 11 and 10 in year 12
Hi Bill, thank you for your kind words, but I have known you online for a long time through the ITA mailing list. It is rather amusing to meet you on a more personal basis through this great classroom isnt it. I love the web2.0 tools and they have brough amazing outcomes for my students who go to a small country school.
One recommend for your use of Moodle is to put a virtual classroom plug in like wiziq's, it could definately make your classroom more intreresting if you go synchronous.
