Teaching and learning is my profession and passion. I teach in a college in Chittagong, Bangladesh. Besides this, I am a human right activist working for the rights of women and children. For last two years, I have been training girls (age 16-25) in a Women Empowerment Project sponsored by the US Embassy in Bangladesh and American center, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
I am a liberal in my belief. I aim at promoting awareness in the society for peace, harmony, and discipline. I believe in the innate capability of human beings that can make this Earth a peaceful place for living. I feel my indebtedness to all things and beings around me with a sense of gratitude because they help me to become a human being with a purpose.
I work with students belonging to the lower and lower-middle class of the society. They are the largest portion of the youth force. Assisting them to shape up their mind in a positive way is my job. I believe meaningful organization and development of this force may change the fate of this country. So, I started a youth campaign to make them aware about their rights and responsibility in the society.
I am interested in reading, traveling and gardening. I am also interested in American Studies, language, religion culture, system of education, politics and life style that influence the modern civilization substantially. These interests, I developed when I had been given the responsibility to add American content in the Women Empowerment Project. Being an optimist, I have faith in fellow human being and believe in the progress of mankind with all its odds.
