see comment by Melissa Fuller re your concenrs last week. it seems that internal discussions at your school could be a starting point. Maybe seeking out teachers in other schools to establish a student blog or wiki that is by invitation would be another possibility.
Virtual spaces can work for this as well with, as Melissa has suggested, the use of avatars and cyber names to protect identity.
