All of a sudden my email on UAS doesn't let me log in, ELMO has no record for raholt, the Help desk in Juneau is not picking up their phone.
Anyway my blog link with the assignment is:
Patty, I start my classes off with giving them web 2.0 vocabulary words and teaching them how to use moviemaker...then they have to make a video showing understanding of these words...I'll send you the vocab words if you want...I've used this with three classes so far with great success! I'd be happy to show you my other instructional pieces if you like...and have a great time at the conference...Do you skype? That might be an easier method of communication ...
I'll be at two conferences in my state in the next week...absolutely love to share my google earth gig !!
Looking forward to more shares with you!
Hi Patti,
Nice to hear from you. Your work sounds very interesting.
For the project I work in (NJ Consortium for Middle Schools), I maintain a website that's chock full of annotated resources for middle school teachers at http://tinyurl.com/l5xst. It's very web 1.0, but the resources are really good. Maybe some of your students will find something of value there. I also wrote a book for ISTE called 101 Best Websites for Secondary Teachers. It came out in 2005, so it's a little dates by now, but there's a lot of good stuff in there too. Looking forward to communicating with you further.
I'm very into personal learning networks right now. Are you aware of anyone doing work in this area? Putting up a blog post on this probably tomorrow at http://jlerman.wordpress.com. Looking for people who are actively involved with this. Any connections you can send my way would be much appreciated. Sounds like you might have some.
Best wishes,
Jim

Just got back from Anchorage working with Teachers, and I'd love to share what I have been teaching my St.Louis Teachers about web 2.0
