Hi Patti, my name is Leon Avrech, retired middle school/jr. high teacher, mentor teacher,
vice principal, principal and 8th grade teacher U.S. History. I am just up the coast from you in San Jose. I recently had a book published, "THINK YOU CAN TEACH? A SURVIVAL GUIDE FOR NEW MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHERS." It is an enormous help to new teachers and will help them succeed. As you can well imagine our teachers pension, STRS, is not enough for extensive marketing. I visit bookstores in the bay area and contact educators at this website. Last year I visited bookstores on State Street.
