Sigh...let's run off to any of those places...tramp steamer or no. Beats the heck out of the alternative. I watched the game from time to time and tuned in just in time to see the last play. The Ullger was out of his mind to send him.....he had the plow down and didn't get a good jump. Great, coming home on a 1 game losing streak....it STOPS TOMORROW!

So far, so good. I know the kids are excited, so are some of the parents that I know. I'm trying to cobble together a staff and stretch my funds. If the gray ghost returns I'll be the most excited coach on the planet. Cross your fingers...I've asked him. Now we wait...

We'll be fine. There was plenty of pressure and I said "no" countless times but finally succumbed. It was difficult to hang up the ol' sneakers two years ago, but I suffered no loss by doing so. The last day or so has been overwhelming and I questioned my sanity and my motivation. You hit the nail on the head, this could be the straw that pushes this lemming off the edge.
Today, I feel better. I met with a couple of players and had a chance to talk with Kate Olsen. I'm fairly confident I'll be able to put together the best vb staff we've seen since Walt left. In fact, I'm holding out hope that the gray ghost hisself might rejoin us in the gym on more than one occasion. I am starting feel like a head coach again, and I have little doubt the juices will flow....I'm just hoping their note from my bowels liquifying from the stress.

Doc...it was, well, ehh. We took the train from the Mall. Big mistake in this humble opinion. The ride was as expected from the Mall to the Dome, but I'd never ridden further. Those last few stops are s-l-o-w. Folks walking from the Dome got to Target field faster than we did. We entered the wrong gate, was told we had to take the elevator up to club level (in fact we didn't....and I had ridden the escalator at open house). Ordered a burger which took longer then expected as another vendor snapped mine up. The door from the "club" house to our seats is a handle that has to be turned..which isn't easy with a burger in one hand and brewski in the other. The burger was blah, bland and no better than Dome fare.

You can order beer from your seat when the waitress comes....and then wait 20 minutes for someone to deliver it. I guess I prefer Wally the Beerman transporting the beer in and selling it to me immediately.

I picked up some ice cream for the little woman and me, but they didn't have napkins there...by the time I found some, my shirt front was covered in vanilla drippings. Went to the bathroom to clean up...our of paper towels in the dispenser.

Jeff spent about 40 minutes in a line for tuna sandwich...and other stands ran out of a lot of food. Funny, but the service, lines, and speed were very similar to the past 30 years. Hopefully then can improve...and soon!
