About Me: 25 years in education following a career in Information Technology. Special interest in collaborative computing, facilitating electronic town meetings at global scale, distance delivery of instruction and tools for creating educational content. Full time with Houston Community College, also on the faculty of Xianning University, Hubei province, People's Republic of China. Current projects beyond teaching assignments include language and cultural exchange between Rice University (Houston) and Xianning University (China), a remotely operated one-meter telescope on Mount Locke in Western Texas (MacDonald Observatory), controlled via internet from Astronomy classrooms in Houston, and a pilot to deliver mixed media instruction in Biology to students on a mobile phone platform.
