- I have been a music teacher for 31 years. The past 25 years have been in Somers Point School district. I will be retiring the end of the school year. I have enjoyed my job of teaching boys and girls the beauty of music and what it has to offer each person. It has been a wonderful experience and couldn't be a better career. My husband, Jeff was an instrumental music teacher for 35 years before retiring from Somers Point Schools. Our children are both music teachers in Atltantic County. David is the instrumental teacher in Absecon and MaryBeth is the vocal teacher in Northfield. I have five wonderful grandchildren ages 3 through 11.
