About Me: I am a retired Mathematics teacher who has found a surprising ability to write. I thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to continue teaching and influencing others with the written word. My goals are to improve mathematics education in general, but specifically Algebra since it has a 50% failure rate and always has. I also want to help parents of preschoolers to have the confidence to do for building a math foundation what they do in building the necessary language foundation.

I am originally from Indiana, but have lived in Colorado Springs for 24 years. I have two grown children--one of each. My daughter is coming to visit next month from Korea and bringing her Korean roommate. It should be a learning experience for us all. I know that Solwoo is in for major "size" shock--country and open spaces will seem huge, but cities will seem like little towns. We plan to visit Disney World, Las Vegas, Rocky Mountain National Park, and everything in Colorado Springs.
