I found the two movie clips and articles very interesting. The second clip took me back to classes I had in college. I never thought of it that way, though. I think it is because all you did was listen to the teacher, take notes, buy books, etc. That was the only way to learn. Now, it is amazing how quickly the learning can take place. I know that even in my classroom, I look at what is out there on video streaming to teach an area of social studies or science. It is amazing all the resources at our fingertips. When I received an interactive white board in my classroom, it was amazing the more engaged the students were to the lessons. If I had trouble working the board, they could tell me what to do and how to correct the problem. The multi-tasking that kids do has been an adjustment to me. They can have so many things going on at the same time it is a wonder that they can keep track of what is to be done and when. My goal is to try to expand my knowledge to a higher level. I feel that I am a native. I love using technology and love to learn new things about it. I am very excited to learn what is being taught in this class.
