My pleasure. It's been good. That last piece of information is good to hear.
I don't think I've even seen a Promethean board and haven't worked with Smart. I was working with a Polyvision board using Easyteach software but wasn't convinced that the high cost of upgrades made it a sensible choice.

Hi Tony
Yes, I was very interested in the trial connected classroom project in western Sydney. It was this program that first confirmed for us that we could link Promethean boards across our WAN. We now have fairly technology rich video-conference rooms in each of our three campuses - consisting of Polycom HDX VC units, plasma screens, data projectors, dvd/hdd recorder, class laptops, document cameras, and Promethean IWBs.
We now operate what we call Blended Learning classes for 9 VCE subjects where the teacher is at one campus but the students are from two or three of our campuses, and are taught some periods face-to-face via video-conference and some periods online via Moodle courses. The whiteboards are also linked across the WAN so that teachers and students can interact using their local board with the results immediately visible at each participating campus. We are now exploring classes connecting to another school in 2009.
