I got your comment on my page. Here are a couple of thoughts...

It would be fairly easy for you to set up a wiki at pbwiki.com to publish student work. Then you could have the folks in spain publish theirs on the same wiki but a new page. Instant collaboration.

As for free video conferencing, skype works well, as does flashmeeting. A new one that is just out (just learned about it today) is tokbox, at www.tokbox.com. It can be embedded on your pbwiki and you can video chat right inside the wiki.
