I am a graduate student at the University of Michigan, School of Education. I will be certified to teach integrated science at the secondary level, and am interested in project based learning and bridging the gap between the physcial and biological sciences in the classrooms. Technology is a great tool for learning and is becomming increasingly important, but I also value immersing students in nature.
I am doing a class project on the Digital Divide for my grad school
program in education. This is a huge topic, so I narrowed it down
to looking at gender issues and technology use in the classroom.
I am interested in how gender plays a role in student interest in using
technology (if at all), but I am looking for any other related issues

Hey, I work with the Vanderbilt Center for Science Outreach and with K-4 students. Check out the VUCSO site for some valuable resources for science learning--though I am extraordinarily jealous about the fish, perhaps we might learn something from one another here :)
