I am preparing to transition out of the classroom and into a K-5 Library/Media Specialist position beginning in May.
In the meantime, my MLS coursework and personal dignity demand that I learn more about Web 2.0 and it's potential to affect my students and curriculum instruction. I'm no longer comfortable being less technologically literate than the 8 year old in my class who needs physical assistance in shoe-tying but maintains a variety of social network accounts.
I'm as green as they come (amateur-wise...not environmentally) and am looking forward to the benefits of participating in a collaborative group of educators committed to a similar goal in professional (and personal) development.

Happy New Year! I was wondering if you have any middle or high school contacts who would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. We'd really like to get more students involved from Kansas!
You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
Hello Courtney. This is a great place to learn about web2.0. I have learnt so much since being a member, and I like you moved out of a classroom to a new role this year.
