I am an associate professor in the Department of Curriculum Studies and a faculty associate with the Institute for Computing, Information & Cognitive Systems (ICICS), Media and Graphics Interdisciplinary Centre (MAGIC) at UBC.
I have more than 25 years of teaching experience with over 10 years in K-12 public schools. I have been using ICT within my own teaching since the early 1980s. From 1993-2002, I taught at The Ohio State University and held associate faculty appointments with the Advance Computing Center for Art and Design and the Center for Folklife Studies.

With your work in Curriculum Studies, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.
Hi Don -- I'd like to invite you to join a Classroom 2.0 group called Canadians Mashup. I'm trying to build a network of Canadian educators and bloggers who are interested in sharing and connecting.
(1) Navigate to the Sue Hellman page. Part way down on the left is a Canadian map under My Groups. If you click on that and then look beneath the main banner (right of center) on the group page, you should see + Join this Group. Click and you’ll be in.
(2) Invite me to be a colleague please.
(3) If you add yourself to the map, please include a name or a photo of some sort. 'Anonymous' cannot be distinguished from ‘Unknown Location’ when I try to clean up the false starts. THANKS!!!!
