About Me: I'm a 30+ year educator, having been a classroom teacher, district administrator, and staff consultant with the North Carolina State Department of Public Instruction. Currently, I maintain The Landmark Project a professional development and innovations firm in Raleigh North Carolina.

What Classroom 2.0 is to Me

There is no such thing as a classroom model. It's what we (the government) has been trying to achieve over the past half dozen years -- a scientifically based construct. A classroom is not a lab. It is a living place that shapes itself around the teachers and students who work there. To me, the 2 refers more to velocity. A classroom with a velocity of 2 is flexible enough to adapt to changing conditions more rapidly than a classroom 1.0 or a classroom zero.

Respect teachers and learners and empower them to do their jobs.
