Hi mystro2b. I was wondering if you and your students would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. If not, perhaps you have some educator contacts you could direct me to. You can view contest details at Please let me know. Thanks!

I'd love for a music teacher to join my network. This is indeed a network aimed at kids helping kids learn, but I am offering teachers and parents the opportunity to affect the learners and contribute from their knowledge. It's brand new and I need all the help I can get spreading the word about it, especially among students.

wrt moodle lms: it does require a bit of technical knowledge (html, css & php) to customise your site. but from a user (teacher or student) standpoint, its real easy to use. ask your sysadmin to download the latest stable package from

support wise, the moodle community is kind & generous. you'll find answers to your questions via the forums. documentation is @

ps. if your institution subscribes to atomic learning > video tutorials there!

hey Mystro! thanks for the kind words. i dig your profile pic - funny one! the garageband project sounds like fun. in terms of web-based access to audio portfolios > i'd suggest creating an account(s) & uploading your audio to podomatic or itunes. you cld even create a class blog or wiki & embed them that way. cheers, Chad. feel free to swing by my global network for educators @

Yep... I use Garage band for accompaniments in my guitar and recorder groups. Very useful.
Give me a shout with what you're doing.

Hi Ken, greeting from Bavaria/Germany to Seattle!
Great to have you on board.
I´m a using my mac all the time. Next week I´ll get a new macbook.
I think I could learn a lot from you - how to use Garageband.
Have a nice day!

Hi Kevin- I may have clicked on your profile by mistake, but I'm happy to meet you also. I teach music in Seattle but have a lot of art specialist friends who would love the art snacks goodies you have on your web-site I just discovered and we are still trying to "get it" when it comes to all the great opportunities with web 2.0 in the classroom out here in rainy seattle and our huge school district. Your insights will be welcome. I look forward to following your podcasts and other great stuff on your web site. thanks!!
-Ken in Seattle
