I have been a classroom teacher, district reading specialist, and a building principal. I am currently working as a curriculum specialist at ESSDACK, providing staff development to over 50 school districts. I have a huge passion for helping educators change ineffective practices so that learning is engaging and meaningful. My most important job, however, is being a wife and mother of four children ages 14, 10, 4, and 3.
Welcome to my page! I am excited about the opportunity to network using this tool!

Hi Tamara. I was wondering if you have students or educator friends who would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
I recently joined the differentiation group and in reading your profile found that you have been a district reading specialist. While functioning at the school in Honduras as Curriculum Director, one of my goals has been to institute individual diagnostic assessment for the purpose of ensuring that our students achieve adequate yearly growth. We have succeeded in the areas of math and English reading comprehension. I am now looking for an assessment tool that would assess reading comprehension and writing skills in the Spanish language. Would you have any suggestions? I look forward to your advise.
Thanks for the comment...was reading up on your "about me" area there to the left...curious in what regard you're helping teachers...is it one on one, seminars, or are you creating podcasts and vidcasts to supplement what you're doing? Love to hear back so we can see how others are helping educate.
Hi Tamara, yes it´s my idea too not only to focus on countries next to Germany, but also to get in touch with colleagues around the world. Video messaging would be nice stuff.
