About Me
Trevor Owens is the technology evangelist for Zotero, at the Center for History and New Media. Zotero is a open-source research tool for the Firefox web browser. He is also working on the ECHO project. Trevor received his undergraduate degree in history and the history of science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is currently working on a master's degree in history at George Mason University. His undergraduate thesis examined the history of children's biographies of Marie Curie and Albert Einstein. His historical interests lay at the intersection of the history of science, the history of education and the history of children's media. Outside traditional historical scholarship, Trevor is interested in video games as a new media. Before coming to the CHNM Trevor was a member of the Games, Learning, and Society Conference planning committee.

Hi TJ
My name’s David and I’m a history teacher in Queensland, Australia. I use a lot of podcasting and online tools with my classes and am always looking for new ideas to use.
I host a group on diigo (it’s similar to delicious and very popular with teachers) for history teachers to share links, ideas and resources. It’s at http://groups.diigo.com/groups/history-teachers.
Please come along and join and share any sources or resources you use with the rest of us. See you there.
Regards,

Hi tjowens. I was wondering if your students would be interested in participating in a nationwide SAT Vocab Video Contest @ MIT university. If not, perhaps you have some educator contacts you could direct me to. You can view contest details at BrainyFlix.com Please let me know. Thanks!
