Talking about conferences- which would you recommend? Phil Callil told me NECC would be his first choice. I attended the VITTA conference last week but I felt the focus was very much on 1:1 notebooks and for most Gov't schools you can understand why however we are certainly well beyond that stage and I'm looking for more in the area of mobile technologies.

Yes certainly am hoping to attend NECC next year. My principal asked me in my interview whether I was familiar with the work you were doing at MLC......I wasn't! I've spent the last 6 yrs in the Highed Ed at Swinburne Uni but I certainly went off and did some research and read up on the Skoolaborate project in particular. I've also had the Head of Music report back to me also and she has visited this year. I'm keeping busy with the implementation of a MIS and LMS in 2010 (as well as moving to VOIP, Windows 7 and Office '07) but by Sem 2 I hope to have some time to work on introducing gaming, virtual worlds and mediscapes in 2011, so I'd love to catch up sometime.
