Creating Documentaries in the Classroom

It's too long to crosspost, but if anyone's interested I'm doing a series about creating classroom documentaries over on my blog. It's something I've been doing for a couple of years now--Time consuming, but the learning that goes on is amazing. I'm also giving a link to all my handouts.

Flex to create learning resources

Started learning Flex. I had stayed away from Actionscript in the past. As the software I write tend to require a gui interface, I was not much enthused by the timeline and movie clip analogies.

A new start

I'm returning to the classroom soon. I spent the last year as a consultant on school change, and before that 2 years as a substitute teacher while I was doing my MA in Human Systems Intervention.
I know that a lot has changed and I have many new strategies to learn and experiment with.
I'm hoping this site will help me out with that :)

How to pick a good password

'Tis the season - time to think again of passwords. Here are some great tips from Dave Warlick...

must have at least six characters
must not appear in any dictionary
must contain both lowercase and uppercase alphabetic characters
must contain a number
should contain non-alphanumeric characters such as !, #, $, %, ^, &, *, (, ), etc.

Another School Year

In just one week, our school will again be opening our doors for a new school year. As usual, I have grand plans for new ways to integrate technology into the curriculum.
