I'm Laurie Strain, a Library Science grad student beginning my third semester, like most of you.
I feel like I'm operating in slow motion after the summer boot camp semesters. I check daily to make sure I haven't missed a due date. I am looking forward to this class and the YA Lit class with Dr. Lesesne.
I live in Port Aransas, have two 13-year-old daughters, a husband and a zoo of animals.
I work two part-time jobs to pay for tuition and books.

On any given day, educators experience the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. How an educator reacts and responds to these highs and
lows can often dictate the overall mood of the day. In my short 6 years
as an educator, I have learned several things as it pertains to
remaining positive, as well as keeping things in perspective when it
comes to my professional and personal life. Educators have an extremely

Most students from across the country have returned to schools refreshed, recharged, and rejuvenated to continue their journey through
the educational process. As students use their summer break to relax
and simply be kids, teachers and administrators utilize their time to
both improve and develop their skills as educators. The summer provides
an excellent opportunity for all educators to refine and enhance their
abilities as… Continue

If you ever wish to engage a high school faculty in a lively discussion, just mention the word plagiarism. Students copy and paste volumes from the Internet. They unashamedly copy each other’s homework in the hallways. They will look teachers right in the eye and swear that every word of their perfect essay came straight from their own minds. Research leaves no doubt that plagiarism is rampant in our…
Hi! My name is Sheralyn Woon and I'm from Singapore. I'm an Art teacher. Presently, I'm at HGSE doing my Ed.M in TIE. Outside of work, I love to sail, cook & travel. In my video below you will see one of my class activities; my students use recycled materials to construct a seaworthy raft that they use to race with others. Enjoy!
Well, it is finally here! TEFList, the video ELT job site. A l ot of work went into it and it really does some amazing things. Ning is charging us through the nose and I hope any revenue provided by TEFList will help our community survive.
1)All the jobs in ELT in one spot (no being a chicken with your head cut off)… Continue

Educators across the country are returning to their schools with fewer resources, larger class sizes, increased work loads, and the fastest
changing student population ever...these challenges and setbacks do not
excuse us from taking risks and doing whatever it takes to meet the
needs of our students.
This school year several colleagues and I have chosen to
implement some major changes in our classrooms. These… Continue
