I have recently posted two podcast on my Bytespeed website regarding El Paso Texas' attempt to create a public wifi network.
I spoke with two of the major players, who discuss how EL Paso is doing it, what are the obstacles, and how they plan to over come them.
The El Paso project is interesting because it differs from most public wifi projects in a number of significant ways.

Last November I began my Byte Speed website,
I had never blogged before. I had never podcast before. But I wanted to show my team that if I could set up an ed tech website, anyone could.
So I started. And, even though I have no idea who reads me, or how many people visit a particular post ( a peculiarity of the program iWeb I am afraid, not the unwillingness of the author) I have, I think, put together at least a moderatly interesting site.
So tonight, I posted another…

The purpose is to kind of give listeners an idea of what types of Ed Tech are used in different areas…

I have noticed a trend, probably because You Tube makes it easy to do,
of adding commercials into keynotes, staff developments, presentations,
etc.
For instance, I have added Apple's classic "Think Different" commercial in a variety of trainings over the years.
Recently, my Superintendent added an ad into a presentation to administrators about constructing an airplane in flight.
I have also seen the famous "Elevator" comercial… Continue
