PaperSlide Videos get kids Communicating, Collaborating and Creating!

As a fun activity in the short time we had between the end of PSSA's and the beginning of Marking Period 4, I challenged my 7th grade Mechanicsburg Middle School Pre-Algebra kids to research and create paperslide videos relating to a topic they had ALREADY learned during the year.  Prior to beginning, I showed the students what a paperslide video was, how it was made and what it should look like by USING paperslide examples. 

I allowed the students to create their own groups of 2 or 3…

My Vision for Meetings (AKA – Making Meetings Somewhat Useful)

I’ve been in a lot of meetings – some of them for work, some for volunteering and some for social purposes.  I was at a meeting last night and while it was run well there were some things that came to mind about making meetings better and using technology to do so.

Flickr Help needed

Good morning from Beijing.

We are 10 days into the Chinese New Celebration with only 5 days to go. Why do I mention that? Because it has been relatively quiet at nights except for the 5th and the 10th nights when fireworks again burst on the scene. Now we just have to wait for the 15th day (night) for the Lantern Festival which marks the official end of the celebration with another round of hours of fireworks until around midnight.
