Wikipedia and Its Use in Education



Wikipedia is being used by all levels of students in education. Many people wonder how this free online information service affects the subject knowledge of students.



This also raises questions about the accuracy of the information in Wikipedia, since the database of information has been placed online by the general public and not from a source such as Encyclopedia Britannica.

Kids, copyright, and open ed - one of the biggest learning experiences of the year

This week I had one of my best classroom experiences of the year. I had the opportunity to teach a bunch of middle school kids about copyright and open ed.



It was an incredibly active and engaging discussion, and I learned as much as they did.
